Are you an enthusiastic and dedicated Social Science Teacher seeking your next opportunity? We are currently supporting a well-regarded secondary school in Northampton in their search for a Social Science Teacher to join their dynamic team from September 2025. This is a full-time maternity cover role, running until the end of the academic year.

The school is committed to delivering high-quality education and fostering a positive learning environment. This role would suit a passionate Social Science Teacher with a strong subject knowledge and a genuine desire to make a difference in students' academic journey.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging and well-structured lessons in Social Science, adapting to the diverse needs of learners across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and possibly KS5, depending on experience).
Contribute to the development of departmental resources and schemes of work.
Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
Maintain high expectations for behaviour and achievement, in line with school policies.

Requirements:

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (Essential)
UK-based teaching experience in the Social Science subject area (Essential)
QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) is preferred, though strong unqualified teachers with relevant experience may be considered
