GSL Education are looking for a Sports Coach to work as a Learning Support Assistant at a specialist SEN Secondary School in Lincoln. This rewarding role offers a fantastic chance to combine your love for physical activity with supporting students who have a range of additional needs, including Autism, ADHD, and physical disabilities.
Your Key Responsibilities:
Support students with diverse needs during PE and physical activities.
Promote teamwork, motor skills, and confidence through structured sports sessions.
Work alongside teachers and therapists to deliver engaging and inclusive physical education.
Provide one-to-one or group support during classroom learning when required.
Encourage positive behaviour and participation through patience and praise.
Help with transitions and emotional regulation through movement-based interventions.
What You Need:
Background in Sports Coaching, Physical Education, or related fields.
Experience working with young people, ideally those with SEN.
A positive, proactive, and empathetic attitude.
Team Teach or similar de-escalation training is desirable (or willingness to complete it).
A current, up-to-date CV (covering the last 10 years with no unexplained gaps).
An enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply for one.
