Horticultural Nursery, Sales Assistant
Salary £30,000 - £35,000 pa + Bonus

This is a rewarding role for a well organised and personable candidate who is looking for a full time, permanent Sales Administration role. Our client is a leader in the supply of Trees and Instant, ready grown Hedges to the Landscaping industry. You will be handling inbound enquiries from prospective clients, making quotations (after training) and following up on quotes by email. This is a office based role, 5 days week, ideally 8:00 am to 5:00 pm although there is some flexibility around these hours.
The Job:
The company receive a regular stream of enquiries from Landscaping Contractors for their range of Nursery products that include Instant Hedges, Specimen and Semi-Mature Trees, Topiary and individual Plants. You will log the enquiries, match the requirements to the company’s range and provide a quotation for the most suitable items. If an order isn’t subsequently received these quotations are followed up by email at a later date.
Throughout the order process you will liaise with the client to resolve any queries, discuss their ongoing needs and schedule deliveries. Occasional site visits may be necessary and you may look to support the companies marketing via social media.
The Person:
You will ideally have horticultural knowledge that includes trees and hedging and may have a relevant qualification. You should have good communication and administration skills and ideally have worked in horticulture. You will have good IT skills across all of the usual office applications and the company use “Passfield” software and experience in this would be a real plus
