Position: Social Worker Childrens

Hourly Rate: £38
We are seeking experienced Social Workers to join our Assessment Team in South Devon, supporting children and families through a strengths-based, relationship-driven approach. This is a fantastic opportunity to build positive, impactful relationships that help keep children safe and secure throughout their childhood and beyond.
As Devon operates under an Ofsted Improvement Plan, we are looking for robust practitioners with a proven track record of good practice who can lead by example and mentor peers across the service.
Key Responsibilities
* Complete Child and Family Assessments and, where appropriate, Section 47 Child Protection Enquiries
* Work in partnership with children and families to create family-led, strengths-based plans
* Liaise with multi-agency professionals to ensure timely and appropriate interventions
* Be present in the office:
* 5 days a week during duty weeks
* 3 days a week during non-duty weeks
* Respond to emergencies and s47 concerns in a timely and effective manner
What We’re Looking For
* Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England
* Significant post-qualification experience in children’s services
* Experience working under court and safeguarding frameworks
* Strong assessment, communication, and crisis intervention skills
* Confidence to model good practice and mentor junior staff
