CNC Machinist, £39,000 to £52,000, Permanent Role, Motherwell

* Backshift: 3:00pm – 10:30pm (Mon–Thurs), 3:00pm – 10:00pm (Fri)
* Nightshift: 11:00pm – 7:00am (Mon–Thurs, finish 7:00am Fri)
Responsibilities:
* Operate and set up CNC Turning and 3/4/5 Axis Milling machinery
* Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and engineering drawings
* Carry out inspection and quality checks using CMM, measuring instruments, and gauging devices
* Select, identify, and set up correct tooling and workholding for operations
* Work to tight tolerances across metallic and non-metallic materials
* Maintain accuracy, quality standards, and safe working practices across the workshop
Requirements:
* Time-served in a relevant engineering/machining discipline
* Ability to work 1-week rotating shifts (dayshift, backshift, nightshift)
* Strong manufacturing background
* Experience using Fanuc, Mazatrol, and Heidenhain control systems
* Aerospace experience desirable
