Transport Officer required for local authority
To manage the day to day operation of passenger transport for SEN and ASC transport. Ensure effective management of available resources to deliver a timely and efficient passenger transport service. To ensure that individuals are supported to travel as independently as possible and all transport provided is delivered with to ensure the comfort, safety, dignity and wellbeing of passengers is maintained at all times.
* Educated to GCSE standard in English and Maths
* Qualification in transport, education, social work or related sector
* Experience of a Local Authority Passenger Transport services operation
* Experience of working with vulnerable clients, either adults or children, their families and carers, and understanding their transport needs
* Experience of commissioning passenger transport services to meet the specific needs of vulnerable clients
* Experience of managing finance within a defined budget,and producing management & performance reports
* Enthusiasm, flexibility and the ability to work effectively todeadlines, demonstrating the ability to work both individually and as part of a cohesive team.
