About the Role:

Are you a passionate and knowledgeable professional with a deep understanding of construction or agricultural equipment? My client, a leading company in the industry, is seeking a Product Manager to join their team in Rochdale. In this role, you will be the driving force behind their product strategy, ensuring that their offerings meet market demands and exceed customer expectations. You will work closely with the sales, marketing, and after-sales teams to develop and execute strategies that align with company goals and market trends.

Key Responsibilities:

As the Product Manager, you will be the go-to expert for their products, providing training, familiarization, and support for product demonstrations to customers, staff, and dealers. You will create comprehensive product manuals, including features and competitor comparison information, to ensure that everyone has the knowledge they need to succeed. Your role will involve analyzing customer and dealer data to identify trends and opportunities for product differentiation and growth.

You will provide timely and accurate technical sales support and training to internal staff and dealers, improving product knowledge and boosting sales effectiveness. Serving as the voice of the customer internally, you will advocate for features and enhancements that mirror market demand. Monitoring overall product performance, customer satisfaction, and market share information will be crucial to your success in this role.

You will also support the planning and organization of their attendance at trade shows, engaging with customers and dealers to gather and document product feedback. Your insights will be invaluable in shaping the future of their products and services.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To excel in this role, you will need proven experience working in a similar role in the construction or agricultural equipment industry, with a minimum of 3 years of experience preferred. Experience in providing sales and product training, as well as creating training materials, is essential. Demonstration of technical product knowledge in previous roles and experience working with marketing and product promotion will be key to your success.

Strong research and data analysis skills are crucial, as you will be responsible for identifying trends and opportunities in the market. You should be honest, reliable, and trustworthy, with excellent timekeeping skills. A positive team player with tenacity and a proactive, 'can-do' attitude is essential. The ability to work on your own initiative and be cooperative and flexible will be highly valued.

Customer service focus and the ability to communicate at all levels are important, as you will be interacting with a wide range of stakeholders. A full driving license and a safe driving record are required, as this role involves travel. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and InDesign or similar software, is also necessary.
