Job Description – Sash Window Restoration Trainee/Operative
This role is not for everyone – it’s tough, fast-paced, and involves early starts. But for those who stick with it, the rewards can be significant.
We provide training from the ground up – from the most basic tasks through to leading a team. If you’re ambitious, hands-on, and resilient, this could be a strong long-term opportunity.
What we’re looking for:
*
Strong work ethic and ability to handle a physically demanding role.
*
Willingness to travel daily (work spans London and South East Kent). Transport to London can be provided.
*
Driving licence preferred (please disclose any points/penalties).
*
Team player with good communication skills.
*
No experience required – full training is provided. However, any background in renovation, restoration, or decorating will be an advantage, particularly where attention to detail is key.
Role details:
*
Work involves restoration and repair of traditional box sash windows.
*
Hands-on training provided, with clear progression for those who commit and perform well.
*
Pay is self-employed and based on capability, performance, and experience. The most dedicated individuals can achieve earnings well above market rates.
*
Travel from Ramsgate to London is required most days (with occasional local work).
*
Opportunity to build skills and eventually lead a team.
*
Self-employed position – you have the freedom to take on additional work outside of this role if desired.
Additional information:
*
Immediate start available.
*
Closed for two weeks over Christmas (returning 6th January 2026).
Please do not apply if you are not willing to work hard, start early, and commit to fast-paced, physically demanding work
