An established and growing software company is looking to hire a Junior Developer on a full-time, permanent basis. This is a hybrid role, combining remote working with time in a modern engineering office environment.

The business develops specialist software products with strong data and analytics capabilities, used by customers in a regulated, technical industry. This role offers a great opportunity for a developer with a solid foundation in C# and .NET to build on their skills, work on real-world products, and continue progressing professionally within a supportive development team.

The Role
You will work as part of an agile development team, contributing to the design, development, and ongoing improvement of core software products. The team is currently focused on scaling existing platforms and modernising a legacy codebase into newer versions of .NET.

You will gain a strong understanding of the full software development lifecycle and the company’s product suite, while supporting delivery against agreed milestones and quality standards. There will also be opportunities to support colleagues and customers through documentation, training, and product demonstrations as your confidence grows.

Key Responsibilities

* Developing and maintaining high-quality software solutions

* Working within Agile and Scrum delivery processes

* Contributing to refactoring and modernisation initiatives

* Collaborating with other developers and wider stakeholders

* Supporting project delivery and providing regular progress updates

* Assisting with product support, documentation, and demonstrations where required

Desirable Technical Skills

* C# with .NET Framework

* JavaScript and jQuery

* Microsoft SQL Server

* Web API and MVC

* Experience using version control, ideally Azure DevOps

* TypeScript, Razor, Angular (legacy or modern versions)

* Unit testing tools such as nUnit or Moq

* LINQ to SQL

* Exposure to Microsoft Azure and Azure SQL

* PowerShell

About You

* Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent experience

* Commercial software development experience using C#, .NET, and SQL

* Comfortable working in an Agile environment

* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

* Methodical, well organised, and detail-focused

* Analytical problem-solver with a genuine interest in building quality software

* Able to work independently while contributing positively to a team
