Uniform Education is recruiting a dedicated School-Based Care Worker for a specialist school in Northwood. The school provides education and care for pupils with a range of special educational needs, including PMLD, SLD, Autism, and physical disabilities.

About the Role:

As a School-Based Care Worker, you will:

Provide high-quality personal care and support for pupils with complex physical and medical needs

*

Assist with mobility, positioning, and personal hygiene using safe manual handling techniques

*

Support pupils in accessing the curriculum and participating in daily school routines

*

Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to meet pupils’ individual care plans

*

Promote dignity, independence, and wellbeing for all pupils

*

Maintain accurate records and uphold the school’s safeguarding and health & safety standards

What We’re Looking For:

*

Experience supporting children or young people with SEN, PMLD, or physical disabilities (essential)

*

Manual Handling and PEG Feeding training (desirable; training can be provided)

*

Caring, patient, and professional approach to supporting pupils

*

Strong communication and teamwork skills

*

Reliable, proactive, and committed to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare

*

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply via Uniform Education)
