Planning Surveyor
Site & Office Based- Full time
As a Planning Surveyor within our clients Acquisition & Planning team (based in Manchester), your role is to manage the planning activities necessary for telecom network projects. You'll act as a technical subject matter expert (SME), ensuring planning rights are secured for various projects, including mobile network operator (MNO) upgrades, new site builds, and renewable energy solutions like Solar PV and EV infrastructure.

* £45,000 – £60,000

Planning Surveyor Duties
* Planning & Surveying: Conduct site surveys and planning appraisals; prepare and manage planning applications through to approval.
* Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with internal teams, local authorities, and community stakeholders to meet planning and regulatory requirements.
* Data & Analysis: Research trends, analyse network performance, and assess site feasibility.
* Compliance & Reporting: Ensure adherence to regulations; prepare planning reports and documentation.
* Project Management: Oversee project timelines, budgets, and delivery partners; support junior team members.
Planning Surveyor Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree- Quantity Surveyor
* Membership in the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) or Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) (Planning & Development pathway).
* Strong analytical, numerical, and communication skills.
* Confident in negotiating, networking, and presenting.
* Interest in legal, policy, and planning procedures.
* Creative approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
* Good commercial awareness and understanding of the telecoms sector.
* Team player with business management and IT proficiency
