Registered Manager – Brand New 5-Bed EBD Children’s Home
Location: Croydon, London
Salary: £60,000 per annum plus performance-based bonus

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Registered Manager to open and lead a brand new 5-bed children’s home in Croydon, supporting young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).
This is a unique opportunity to take full ownership of a new service and shape it from the ground up. You’ll be responsible for leading the home to deliver outstanding care, ensuring compliance with Ofsted regulations, and building a positive and therapeutic environment for children and young people.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead the Ofsted registration process and ensure the home meets all regulatory requirements
*
Recruit, supervise and develop a strong, child-focused team
*
Ensure effective care planning, safeguarding, and risk management for each young person
*
Maintain high standards in line with the Children’s Homes Regulations and Quality Standards
*
Manage referral matching processes and liaise with commissioning teams on placements and pricing
*
Promote a trauma-informed, therapeutic approach across the home
*
Build and maintain effective relationships with external professionals and families
Requirements:
*
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent) – essential
*
Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) – essential
*
Minimum 2 years' experience in a management role within a children’s residential care setting
*
Strong knowledge of Ofsted inspections, safeguarding, and children’s residential care legislation
*
Experience working with children and young people with EBD and complex needs
*
Confident leader with excellent communication and organisational skills
