Behaviour Mentor

We are currently seeking a committed and resilient Behaviour Mentor to support pupils within a secondary school based in Blackpool.

This role is ideal for someone with experience in behaviour management, youth work, or working as a Teaching Assistant, who is confident in building strong relationships with pupils and managing challenging behaviours effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

Supporting students as a General Teaching Assistant across the school day
Managing and de-escalating challenging behaviour in a calm and consistent manner
Building positive, trusting relationships with pupils to encourage engagement
Working closely with teaching staff to create a safe and supportive learning environment
Supporting pupils' social, emotional and behavioural development
The ideal candidate will:

Have experience working with young people with behavioural or additional needs
Be confident, patient, and resilient
Have a good sense of humour and a proactive, team-focused attitude
Be passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
