Our client, a specialist in producing high performance electric racing vehicles is currently looking for an Assistant Technical Buyer. The successful candidate will play a key support role within the procurement function, providing both administrative and operational assistance to the Purchasing and Supply team.
The Assistant Technical Buyer will:
Process and place purchase orders in line with project and business requirements.
Support the sourcing of select components and assist in managing related suppliers.
Maintain accurate procurement records to support reporting, audits, and supplier capacity planning.
Oversee the Supply Chain & Purchasing SharePoint site, ensuring data is up to date and accurately reflects procurement activity.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely processing and resolution of supplier invoices.
The Assistant Technical Buyer will have:
Degree or NVQ Level 5 Certificate in a technical or business-related discipline (Business studies / purchasing) (desirable). CIPS, MCIPS, or actively working towards qualification.
Willingness to learn - high appetite for learning and development towards a buyer position.
Prior experience in procurement or supply chain roles.
Strong problem-solving ability and agility in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Basic understanding of commercial and procurement principles.
