Deputy Engineering Manager - Plumstead, South East London

The Deputy Engineering Manager will assist our engineering management team at their garage in Plumstead, South East London, in leading a talented team of colleagues, from apprentices, coachbuilders through to skilled engineers and administrative/support functions. The remit primarily serves to assist the Engineering Manager in the day-to-day operational management of the local engineering function, encompassing an array of areas from garage premises to equipment, but with the primary aim of meeting our bus service obligations to TfL on a daily basis.

The Deputy Engineering Manager will work, Earlies & Lates shifts alternate. Alternate Saturdays, 12.00-20.30

This is the perfect opportunity for someone who is experienced in the maintenance, repair and overhaul of heavy vehicles and now looking for the next step in their career.

About you: You’ll have a strong Engineering background with proven experience in maintenance, repair and overhaul of heavy vehicle, equipment and/or machinery with a recognised qualification (Level 3 NVQ or equivalent).

NVQ L3 Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent) (required)

Pay: £58,000.00-£60,000.00 per year
