The role – SEMH Teaching Assistant

I am currently working with a mainstream secondary school in Haringey that is seeking a dedicated and experienced SEMH Teaching Assistant to join their support team as soon as possible.The successful candidate will provide one-to-one and small group support to students with social, emotional and mental health needs, helping them to stay engaged in lessons and develop positive learning habits. You will work closely with the SENCO, pastoral team, and class teachers to create a nurturing environment that promotes emotional wellbeing, resilience, and academic progress.This position requires someone patient, empathetic, and adaptable, with a genuine passion for helping young people overcome barriers to learning. Experience supporting students with SEMH or behavioural difficulties in a school or alternative provision setting is highly desirable.
