Job Title: Saw Operator

Location: Billingham

Hours: Monday-Friday

Job Overview:

We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Saw Operator to join a busy and well-established engineering/manufacturing company in Billingham. This is a hands-on role focused on accurately cutting materials to specification while maintaining high quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Operating band saws / circular saws to cut materials to size
Working from cutting lists and basic engineering drawings
Measuring and marking materials accurately
Carrying out blade changes and basic machine checks
Ensuring materials meet required tolerances and quality standards
Maintaining a clean and safe working area
Following all health & safety procedures at all timesHand Tools Used:

Vernier calipers
Micrometer
Scribers / marking tools
Spanners
Socket set
Allen keys
Screwdrivers
Hammers / mallets
Files
Deburring tools
ClampsCandidate Requirements:

Previous experience in a Saw Operator or similar role
Experience cutting steel, aluminium, or other metals
Confident using hand measuring tools
Good attention to detail and accuracy
Able to work independently and as part of a team
