Our client, a prominent player in the airport construction sector, is currently seeking a Logistics Programme Lead for a contract role. This position is ideal for someone with extensive logistics and programme management experience, particularly in complex construction environments. The role has been deemed inside IR35.
Key Responsibilities:
Developing and implementing the site-wide logistics strategy for construction logistics, which includes materials deliveries, fabrication yard, plant and equipment deliveries, site welfare, workforce transport, airside/landside management, and security and compliance coordination.
Managing site works for complex construction projects, with hands-on, on-the-ground experience.
Establishing and maintaining relationships in a highly complicated internal stakeholder environment, ensuring adherence to strict regulatory and compliance requirements.
Executing strong contractor management with a focus on site-based activities.
Reporting directly to senior programme leadership, keeping them informed of project progress and logistics.
Job Requirements:
Core experience in logistics, specifically within the construction and airport sectors.
Practical knowledge in programme management and project management, with a history of managing large-scale construction projects.
Previous experience as a site engineer or construction supervisor is preferred.
Strong capability in managing contractor relationships and site activities.
Adept at navigating complex operational organisations with rigid compliance needs.
