Senior Quantity Surveyor – Major Civils & Infrastructure – West London

Samuel James is recruiting for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a major civils and infrastructure programme in West London with a value of £150m. This is a commercially significant role, offering complex package exposure, long-term project security, and the opportunity to work with one of the UK’s leading Tier 1 contractors.

You’ll be responsible for the commercial management of high-value works including earthworks, demolition, piling, bridges, structural steel, roofing, and cladding. This is a delivery-focused, hands-on role within an experienced and collaborative team.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage subcontract procurement, variation control, and client liaison
Lead CVRs, cost forecasting, valuations, and change submissions
Oversee civils delivery across bridge structures, mezzanines, and envelope works
Ensure contractual compliance under NEC forms of contract
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and on-site delivery teams
Identify commercial risks and contribute to strategic project decisions Essential Experience:

Strong background with Tier 2 or Tier 3 civil engineering contractors
In-depth knowledge of NEC contract administration
Proven experience in structural steel, cladding, roofing, or envelope packages
Confident in managing costs, subcontractor performance, and client relationships
Able to perform in a fast-paced, change-driven infrastructure environment What’s on Offer:
