Infrastructure Engineer – (Infrastructure, Azure, O365, Networking, Active Directory, Windows Server, Intune, VMware, Hyper-V, PowerShell, MPLS, SD-WAN, AD, Active Directory) – Permanent – Manchester

Charles Simon Associates are currently looking for an Infrastructure Engineer on a permanent basis for a well established highly prestigious European business who are looking to expand their IT team.

Location: Manchester, 2 days home working

Salary: Up to £55,000 per annum plus benefits

Skills/Requirements for the Infrastructure Engineer:

* Previous experience in similar role is vital

* Strong O365, including Intune

* Active Directory

* Virtualization experience, ideally Hyper-V, however VMware would be sufficient

* Basic Configuration experience within Routing and Switching

* MS Intune experience

* MS Azure experience

* Knowledge of SD-Wan and/or MPLS

* PowerShell is highly desirable

Start date is ASAP for the Infrastructure Engineer

The Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for:

* Owning escalations as the subject matter expert for BAU tickets escalated from 1st/2nd line team

* Resolving complex tickets across both hardware & software platforms

* Taking ownership of complex and technically challenging issues while creating documentation

* Managing and maintaining the various tool sets and solutions around security / mail hygiene / backups

* Manage multiple managed service providers to drive fault resolution and change on hardware/software/cloud solutions

* Proactively monitoring and maintaining the infrastructure estate

* Consulting on hardware solutions and provide guidance on hardware standards

* Playing a key role in developing and implementing service improvements across the group

* Provide support and mentoring to colleagues across the IT Service
