Contract: Full-Time, Maternity Cover (until April 2026)
Salary: MPS/UPS (depending on experience)

A well-established and high-achieving primary school in Welwyn Garden City is seeking an experienced and confident Year 5 Class Teacher to cover a maternity leave from September 2025 through to April 2026.

The Role:

Full-time class teacher for a well-settled Year 5 cohort

*

Responsible for delivering the KS2 curriculum, supported by experienced phase colleagues

*

PPA time protected and collaborative planning time provided

*

Expected to maintain high expectations in behaviour, engagement, and outcomes

Person Specification:

*

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and recent experience teaching in KS2, preferably in Year 5

*

Confident in classroom management and curriculum delivery

*

Able to hit the ground running, with minimal induction time

*

Flexible, proactive, and committed to upholding the school’s values

*
