Night Shift Production Manager

£50,000 - £57,000 per annum

Established over 40 years ago, MNB Precision provides manufacturing and precision engineering services to the world’s leading companies across the Oil & Gas, Power Generation, Rail and other manufacturing industries.

We are currently looking for a Production Manager to join the business on a night shift.

Responsibilities:

* For the role of Night Shift Production Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all manufacturing and production processes on the night shift.

* You will ensure all production schedules are carried out in line with Production Directors instructions and targets for the role of Night Shift Production Manager.

* Ensure the quality of all work produced meets the company quality standards

* You will monitor on and off times of WO’s on all machines that the supervisors are responsible for at least twice a day and report any production issues to Production Director

* Assist and resolve technical problems as and when they arise and put an action plan to prevent future occurrence (IRN & OEE)

* You will manage the staff you are responsible for, setting targets and carrying out regular performance appraisals for the role of Night Shift Production Manager.

* You will carry out company disciplinary procedures where necessary

* Accurately contribute when required to the estimation process

* Ensure maintenance schedules are adhered to and report any issues to maintenance manager

* To be responsible for the security and organisation of the company CNC programmes through the Supervisors who are responsible for the specific areas

* Constantly work towards improving efficiency throughout the company production areas (OEE)

* You will train the section improvers when required and suggest new training/new technology programmes as appropriate.

Requirements:

* For the role of Night Shift Production Manager, you will have extensive experience within a precision manufacturing environment, ideally within Oil & Gas, Aerospace or Defence.

* You will have proven experience managing manufacturing and production processes within a machine shop environment for the role of Night Shift Production Manager.

* Previous experience managing and motivating teams as well as responsibility with appraisals and disciplinary processes.

* You will be motivated and driven to lead from the front at all times.

* You will have great communication skills
