We are seeking a highly motivated Accounts Payable Assistant join the team at our Head Office in Hoddesdon, on a fixed term contract covering Maternity Leave for 12 months.

Salary: £25k

Hours – 8am – 5pm with 1 hour for lunch

Key Responsibilities

* Check that all the account statements have been received from our stock suppliers every month and request if any have not.

* Check that all the invoices and credit notes have been received from the stock supplier statements, and request if any have not.

* Post all the stock invoices on our system that have been received and booked in by the branches.

* Record any price discrepancies on a monthly price query sheet.

* Identify and separate garage equipment priority invoices and email them to the garage equipment team for booking, and post these once they are booked.

* Identify sister company invoices and give these to the right person for booking and then post these on the system once booked.

* Send off query sheets of invoices/parts that have not been booked in by branches.

* Chase branches for credit notes/GRNs for any invoices still not received.

* Match supplier statements amount with invoice/credit postings on the system and post correct payment amounts on a creditors sheet ready for payment.

* Assist manager with cash postings or any other administrative tasks.

* Answer incoming calls, direct them to the appropriate person and assist any stock suppliers with providing remittance or any other queries.
