Job Title: Payroll Technician

Location: South Bristol (Onsite for training → Hybrid thereafter)
Salary: £32,000 - £37,000 (Pro Rata)
Hours: 3 Days Per Week * Term‑Time Only Option Available
Employment Type: Permanent, Part-Time

Overview

REED Accountancy are working exclusively with a South Bristol education organisation to recruit a Payroll Technician. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys payroll accuracy, data manipulation, systems and reporting, and wants flexibility - including school‑run friendly hours and the option to work term-time only.

Key Responsibilities

Process end‑to‑end payroll and pensions using Cintra
Maintain accurate payroll records and process starters, leavers & contractual changes
Lead monthly payroll checks and resolve queries
Support year‑end pension activities and statutory returns
Produce workforce reports for SLT and other stakeholders
Improve payroll processes, systems and SOPsSkills & Experience

Payroll processing and pension administration experience
Good Excel and data manipulation skills
Confident with payroll systems (Cintra desirable)
Good knowledge of payroll legislation and complianceBenefits
