Full-Time Teaching Assistant - Phonics Interventions
Location: Across primary schools in Sheffield
Salary: £85 - £95 per day (depending on experience)
Contract Type: Full-time, Term Time Only
Start Date: As soon as possible

Are you passionate about early literacy and phonics? Do you have experience supporting pupils in Key Stage 1 and want to make a real difference? Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to deliver targeted phonics interventions across multiple primary schools in the Sheffield area.

The Role:

As a Teaching Assistant focusing on phonics, you will work five days per week, supporting small groups and individual pupils in Key Stage 1. You will play a key role in helping pupils develop early reading and writing skills, using established phonics schemes such as Read Write Inc.

This role involves travelling to different schools within the area, so access to your own transport is highly desirable.

Requirements:

Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or higher)

Experience supporting phonics, ideally including Read Write Inc.

Confident working 1:1 and with small groups

A flexible and proactive approach

Must be available Monday to Friday, term time only

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)
