Hours: Average of 26.25 hours per week (3 on / 3 off shift pattern, 6:00am–2:00pm or 2:00pm–10:00pm)
About the Role
The Home Emergency Alarm Response Team provides essential 24/7 support to residents across Doncaster, 365 days a year. This role is key in enabling vulnerable individuals to remain safely at home through the use of assistive technology.
You will work on a rotating shift basis, responding to telecare alarms and visiting service users in their homes to assess situations and take appropriate action.
Key Responsibilities
Work flexibly on a shift rota to maintain 24/7 service coverage, including weekends and bank holidays.
Respond to telecare alarm activations and attend customer homes to assess and support as necessary.
Independently install, maintain, test, and disconnect assistive technology equipment in homes and designated properties.
Operate relevant IT systems to log, update, and monitor service activities.
Adhere to all safeguarding, moving and handling, health and safety, and customer care protocols.
Liaise with emergency services when required.Essential Skills & Experience
Valid UK driving licence (essential – travel around the borough is required).
QCF Level 2 or a relevant Health & Social Care qualification.
Experience working with adults in a health or social care environment.
Understanding of the needs of vulnerable service users and multidisciplinary approaches.
Knowledge of Dementia, Safeguarding Adults, and Health & Safety procedures.
Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to write clear reports and assess individual needs and risks.
Fluency in spoken English (as required under the Immigration Act 2016 for customer-facing roles).
