Design Engineer – Mechanical Manufacturing | Bedford

We're hiring a Design Engineer to join a leading mechanical manufacturer based in Bedford. You'll work in an ISO 9001 environment, managing the full design-for-manufacture lifecycle using NX, Inventor, and AutoCAD.

What you'll do:

* Design mechanical components and assemblies to manufacturing standards

* Apply FEA/FMEA for performance and safety validation

* Lead projects for both new and existing products

* Produce 3D/2D models, material specs, BOMs, and technical documentation

* Support continuous improvement and cost-effective design through VAVE

What we're looking for:

* 3–5 years' experience in 3D CAD mechanical design

* Strong knowledge of FEA tools; rotating machinery experience a plus

* HNC/HND or a degree in Mechanical Engineering

* Collaborative mindset, attention to detail, and a drive for quality
