Production Quality Inspector

Reporting to: Production Supervisor / Director of Operations

Market 36 Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Production Quality Inspector on behalf of our client, a well-established manufacturing business operating within a regulated production environment.

This is a hands-on, quality-focused role positioned at the final stage of the production process, responsible for ensuring that all manufactured equipment meets the company’s strict quality, regulatory, and documentation standards prior to dispatch. The successful candidate will play a critical role in protecting product integrity, regulatory compliance, and the overall reputation of the business.

The role is based within a manufacturing and operations facility and requires close collaboration with production, operations, and quality teams. Attention to detail, consistency, and the ability to work methodically within structured processes are essential.

Main Purpose of the Role

To ensure all products leaving the production facility meet required quality standards, regulatory labelling requirements, and documentation controls, while completing final inspection, cleaning, packing, and dispatch preparation to a high standard.

Roles & Responsibilities

The Production Quality Inspector will be responsible for a range of quality and inspection activities, including but not limited to:

Carrying out interim and final inspections of capital equipment and accessory items to ensure quality standards are met

Reviewing, verifying, and managing all associated production and quality documentation to ensure accurate data recording and full traceability

Applying regulatory labelling in line with DHR requirements and managing document storage in accordance with global regulatory standards

Making informed decisions on product pass/fail status in line with inspection criteria

Completing final assembly of access panels and finishing components where required

Cleaning finished machines and preparing them for packing to ensure they are presented in excellent condition

Packing equipment into appropriate crates or packaging to ensure safe transport

Managing export documentation and labelling to support dispatch and shipping requirements

Additional Responsibilities

Working closely with production and operations teams to resolve quality issues

Supporting continuous improvement of inspection and quality processes

Maintaining accurate inspection records and audit-ready documentation

Promoting high standards of quality, organisation, and professionalism within the production environment

These duties are indicative and not exhaustive, and the role requires a flexible and proactive approach.

Experience, Skills & Qualifications

Experience & Qualifications

Previous experience in a production, manufacturing, or quality inspection role

Experience carrying out final inspection and sign-off of finished goods

Strong understanding of documentation control and traceability processes

Ability to assess quality standards and make pass/fail decisions confidently

Experience with packing, labelling, and dispatch preparation

Relevant experience may be accepted in lieu of formal qualifications.

* Competent IT skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel

* Good understanding of time management, logistics, and process control

* Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks

* Working knowledge of inspection and test methods

* Basic understanding of mechanical and electro-mechanical assemblies

* Ability to maintain accurate and auditable records

Working Pattern

* Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday 07:30 - 16:00

* Location: Manufacturing / Operations Facility

* Environment: Production-based role involving standing, walking, and manual handling
