Starfyn Education are looking for an energetic and flexible individual who join the Starfyn Family in a long-term, full-time role Teacher role!
 
One of our schools caters for students aged 3 to 11 years with a built in ASD provision, looking for a full-time qualified teacher to join the team, starting as soon as possible! The ASD provision caters for children with the primary diagnosis of Autism with an EHCP, from Year 1 to Year 6 – split into two different classes. Students in the ARP unit have access to a sensory and soft playroom containing a swing and trampoline which supports the development of motor skills and regulation.
 
The school is looking for someone who has experience in Teaching in a Special Needs School and is flexible and happy to support students across all ages when needed. You will be expected to work from 8:15am to 4:30pm – 5 days a week.

The Role: SEN Teacher
Days Required:  Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 4pm (Full-time)
Pay: £120 - £220 Per Day
Location: Kensington and Chelsea
Employment Type: Agency (Either Temporary to Permanent or Ongoing Contract)
 
The Ideal Candidate Will

Have experience of working with children and young adults with special educational needs and have the ability to communicate and empathise with children who have severe and complex Special Educational Needs.
Knowledge of assessment and teaching strategies appropriate to children with Special Educational Needs
Knowledge of emotion coaching, TEACCH approach, PACE and the theory behind zones of regulation.
Hold a QTS qualification or equivalent with a valid DBS on the update service.
Pass an interview and an observed lesson with the students. 
Main Duties

Plan and Deliver lessons to meet the individual needs of the children – including 1-1 and small groups.
Coach support staff to participate in delivery.
Supervision of students who don’t work toward a typical mainstream timetable.
Build & Maintain relationships with all pupils – acting as a role model/mentor. 
To be successful in applying for this role you must have a DFE recognised QTS or equivalent.
