Role Responsibilities as a Process Engineer:
Investigate and measure processes to support productivity and process improvements.
Test and understand a range of paper-making parameters.
Collaborate with the plant process improvement team to manage assigned basic process improvements.
Develop, implement, and monitor Key Performance Indicators to drive continuous improvement.
Assist in identifying manufacturing best practices to enhance productivity and quality.
Establish Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Standard Operating Controls (SOCs) for sustainable improvements.
Ensure quality standards are consistently achieved and maintained.
Conduct plant assessments and margin improvement processes.
Focus on machine stops, set-ups, scrap studies, and S.M.E.D systems to boost productivity.
Contribute to Continuous Improvement Management methodologies.
Work with the Technical Manager and Quality & Environmental Manager on customer-focused improvements.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
Previous experience as a Process Engineer in a heavy manufacturing environment.
Experience in recycling, packaging, or paper is advantageous but not essential.
Proficiency in writing SOPs and SOCs.
Demonstrated experience in Continuous Improvement activities.
Knowledge of SMED is desirable.
Strong IT skills, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Oracle or similar systems.
Own transport is essential due to the location.
