Supply Desk is currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher to join a vibrant and forward-thinking secondary school in Bushey from September. This is a full-time position and an excellent opportunity for an experienced teacher or an ECT looking to grow within a supportive and high-achieving school.

The school is known for its strong focus on academic excellence and student development, offering excellent facilities including modern science labs and a collaborative department that values innovation and curiosity.

Job Description:

Deliver engaging and effective Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (Key Stage 5 teaching available for suitable candidates).
Plan and assess lessons in accordance with the national curriculum, supporting students of all abilities.
Inspire a love of science through creative teaching and practical experiments.
Contribute to the planning and development of the Science curriculum within the department.
Monitor student progress, provide constructive feedback, and support academic achievement.
Ensure high standards of behaviour and engagement in the classroom.
Support and participate in extracurricular science activities and school-wide STEM initiatives.
Work collaboratively with colleagues, attend meetings, and engage in ongoing CPD opportunities.

Our ideal candidate will:

Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be an ECT with a specialism in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics.
Have excellent subject knowledge and a passion for science education.
Be able to inspire curiosity and independent thinking in students.
Possess strong behaviour management and organisational skills.
Be committed to fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Demonstrate strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with students, staff, and parents.
Hold or be willing to obtain a clear Enhanced DBS check.
