Midgard is the main contracting division of the +£800m turnover JRL Group and utilises all the company's in-house resources and facilities to provide clients with a bespoke construction service. We have gone back to the time when contractors carried out work themselves with a dedicated, reliable workforce and their own fleet of plant and equipment.
Due to continued growth we are seeking to recruit a Commercial Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a tenacious attitude, with a desire to succeed and progress in their career. They will demonstrate a positive proactive approach to the role and will be committed to delivering customer service excellence, with good commercial results.
Other responsibilities:
Provision of guidance and advice on valuation of work in progress and future projections.
Negotiating with client’s representatives, sub-contractors and other consultants.
Advise on contractual implications of intended courses of action.
When appointed, undertake the integrated role of package manager on a project.
Advise on commercial risks within the project or projects.
Preparation of monthly contract review reports.
Preparation of monthly management accounts information.
Identify change and implement change control process and agreement.
Ensure that contract documents are properly executed prior to project commencement.
Requirements:
Ideally you will have experience of managing large Residential new build projects.
Works collaboratively and uses influence to gain resolution of issues.
Seeks out ways to add value to customer’s business.
