A dynamic and rapidly growing engineering business is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join its high-performing team. This is a critical leadership role within a 24/7 manufacturing environment, where you’ll be instrumental in supporting cross-functional operations, working closely with Sales, Production, Engineering, and Customers to deliver outstanding results.

Key Responsibilities for the appointed Operations Manager:
Oversee all aspects of in-house manufacturing operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and quality standards are met across 24/7 production
Lead, develop, and motivate production teams to meet output targets and maintain high employee morale
Drive operational performance through KPIs and continuous improvement (CI) initiatives
Support the delivery of complex engineering projects and work in close partnership with Sales and Customer teams
Ensure adherence to health & safety, quality (ISO9001), and 6S practices
Oversee shift management, production handovers, and coordination across departments
Participate in budget planning and manage non-inventory purchasing as required
Collaborate with HR and line managers on performance, development, and training
The Ideal Operations Manager Will Have:
Proven experience in a leadership role within a 24-hour manufacturing or engineering environment
Background in managing teams in a high-value, low-volume production setting
Strong knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and 6S methodologies
Ability to interpret and work from engineering documentation and production data
Excellent communication, team building, and cross-functional leadership skills
Hands-on experience using ERP/MRP systems
A results-driven mindset with a commitment to quality, customer service, and operational excellence
