GMP Recruitment are proud to be in partnership with a leading precision engineering company based in Gloucester, Gloucestershire, who supply high-quality components to a range of industries. We are currently recruiting on their behalf for a CNC Setter/Operator (Milling) to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis.

This position is site-based and is offering a competitive hourly rate, dependent on experience, with overtime opportunities at enhanced rates.

Working Hours:

* Monday – Thursday: 7:30am – 4:30pm

* Friday: 7:00am – 1:00pm

* Saturday overtime available at time and a half

Our client operates a busy and well-equipped manufacturing facility, specialising in high-precision machining. With Nicolás Correa (Milling) on site, they are looking for a skilled Setter/Operator with around 3 years’ experience to produce precision-engineered components to tight tolerances.

CNC Setter/Operator Main Responsibilities:

* Set and operate manual lathes (Nicolás Correa) to produce precision components.

* Work to detailed engineering drawings and technical specifications.

* Carry out in-process quality checks using micrometers, verniers, gauges, and other measuring equipment.

* Manufacture components to tight tolerances and quality standards.

* Maintain a safe, clean, and organised work environment in line with company policies.

* Contribute to continuous improvement and problem-solving initiatives.

* Work effectively both independently and within a team to meet production targets.

CNC Setter/Operator required skills and experience:

* Minimum 3 years’ experience as a CNC Setter/Operator with strong manual lathe background.

* Experience working with Nicolás Correa machines is highly desirable.

* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

* Knowledge of precision machining and inspection processes.

* Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach.

* Reliable, flexible, and team-oriented.
