Mechanical Engineer – Fabrication experience – site-based contract work

£45-47 per hour (experience dependent & outside IR35) + travel time + mileage + immediate start + rolling contract

Mechanical Engineer responsibilities include:

* Coordination of materials and fabricated items to complete works.

* Review QA/QC paperwork checking materials / equipment are fabricated / installed to correct specification.

* Timely arrival of fabricated materials and sub-contracts in line with agreed schedules.

* Ensure site productivity is in line with agreed schedule.

* Liaise with QC inspection team to ensure that all work is progressed to the required Quality standards.

Mechanical Engineer profile:

* HNC / Degree or higher qualification in Mechanical Engineering

* A strong technical background, and the ability to demonstrate professional competency in Mechanical engineering.

* 10yrs Mechaincal Engineering experience, with 5yrs background in fabrication Engineering / dealing with fabricated goods.

* Extensive experience working on a wide range of projects across Construction, Plant, Petro-chemicals, Renewables, etc.

* Good communication skills and ability to write technical reports.

* Ability to work in a team, giving guidance and support and training as and when necessary.

* Ideally to be residing within a commutable distance of Cheshire / Flintshire
