The role
We’re looking for a part-time SEN teaching assistant who has experience supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). You’ll work closely with class teachers and SENCOs to help children access learning, regulate behaviour, and build vital social and communication skills. This is a rewarding role where no two days are the same, and your patience and empathy will be your greatest assets.
Key responsibilities
• Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with ASD
• Implement EHCP targets and differentiated activities
• Support emotional regulation and social development
• Communicate effectively with staff, parents, and external professionals
• Create a nurturing, consistent, and structured environment
Requirements
• Experience supporting children with ASD
• A calm, proactive, and compassionate approach
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team
• Relevant qualifications (desirable but not essential)
