About the Company
Our clients are a leading kitchen manufacturer supplying high-quality products to large-scale contract and commercial projects across the UK. As they continue to grow, they are looking for a skilled Technical Designer to join thier Contract Department and support the delivery of accurate, detailed technical drawings and specifications.
Role Overview
As a Technical Designer, you will play a key role in producing precise kitchen layouts, technical drawings, and manufacturing specifications for contract projects. You will collaborate closely with project managers, production teams, and clients to ensure all designs meet requirements, manufacturing standards, and installation guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
Create detailed kitchen designs, technical drawings, and layout plans using CAD software.
Prepare accurate manufacturing and installation documentation for contract projects.
Interpret client requirements, architectural plans, and project specifications.
Work closely with the Contract Project Managers to ensure all designs are delivered on time.
Provide technical support and design revisions throughout the project lifecycle.
Ensure all designs comply with company standards, building regulations, and safety guidelines.
Liaise with production teams to resolve any technical or design-related queries.
Maintain accurate design records and documentation.
Skills & Experience
Previous experience as a Technical Designer, CAD Technician, or similar role (industry experience in kitchens, furniture, or interiors preferred).
Strong proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar).
Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce highly accurate technical drawings.
Good understanding of manufacturing processes and materials.
Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to technical challenges.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
What We Offer
