My client is a well-established engineering services provider, known for delivering high-quality hydraulic solutions across the UK. Due to their success they are now looking for a skilled Centre Lathe Turner to join their ever-growing team.

About Your New Centre Lathe Turner Role
Based in a busy, well-equipped workshop, you’ll be responsible for machining a range of hydraulic components using manual centre lathes and milling machines (all with DROs). This is a hands-on engineering role where attention to detail and quality craftsmanship are essential.

Your day-to-day duties will include:
Machining hydraulic components using manual lathes and milling machines
Setting up manual machines for production
Reproducing components to precise customer specifications and tight tolerances
Using power hacksaws to prepare raw materials
Finishing components to match provided samples exactly
Performing general machine shop duties, including basic maintenance and cleanlinessRequirements for the Centre Lathe Turner Role
Proven experience using manual centre lathes and milling machines
Background in general machine shop operations
Ability to work accurately to tight tolerances
Strong attention to detail and quality standards
Self-motivated, punctual, and dependable
