Key Responsibilities:
Supporting the planning team on a diverse range of infrastructure projects
Preparing consent applications and taking responsibility for specific aspects of projects such as drafting reports and meeting with clients or stakeholders
Leading smaller projects to ensure delivery according to client objectives and timelines
Collaborating with engineers, environmental teams, and communication specialists to guide the planning consenting process from feasibility to implementation
Applying expert knowledge in various consenting regimes including Development Consent Orders, Transport and Works Act, Town and Country Planning Act, and the Electricity Act
Job Requirements:
Degree and/or master's in Town Planning and membership with the Royal Town Planning Institute (MRTPI)
Strong knowledge of relevant planning legislation and policy
Experience producing outputs to support infrastructure consenting or planning policy
Proven ability to develop working relationships with town planners and other disciplines both internally and externally
Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex issues concisely, write reports, present effectively, and manage client relationships
Proven project management skills with a successful record in project planning and delivery
Commercial and financial management experience for profitable project management
Experience in business development, including successful bidding for new work
