About the DT Faculty
The Design and Technology department offers a wide range of subjects, including food, textiles, product design, and engineering. Food Technology is a popular subject at both KS3 and KS4, and the department is equipped with modern kitchen suites, digital learning tools, and practical resources for food preparation and nutrition education.

About the Role
As a Food Technology Teacher, your responsibilities will include:
• Delivering Food and Nutrition across KS3 and KS4.
• Planning and delivering practical and theory lessons focused on healthy eating, nutrition, and culinary skills.
• Supporting students in preparing for GCSE Food Preparation and Nutrition.
• Promoting safe and hygienic working practices.
• Working closely with DT colleagues to share resources and best practice.
• Leading or supporting cooking clubs and healthy eating initiatives.
• Contributing to whole-school events and celebrations involving food.

Experience and Qualifications
• Degree in Food Technology, Nutrition, or related subject
• PGCE/QTS with DT or Food specialism
• Passion for food education and healthy living
• Ability to deliver practical cooking lessons effectively and safely
• Strong classroom presence and commitment to student progress

Salary
This Food Technology Teacher role is paid on the MPS/UPS scale.
