£25,338 - £28,067 Depending on experience

Permanent, Full Time (37 hours per week)

The Vacancy

Here at Halton Housing, we are looking for an experienced Environmental Services Operative to work across our vibrant organisation.

What You’ll Do:

* Assist in carrying out a range of horticultural and cleansing operations to open spaces and individual gardens, including but not limited to; litter picking, fly tipping, removal and environmental improvements

* Be proactive in reporting repairs, hazards, defects, fly tipping and any health and safety matters

* Carry out a range of grass cutting operations including Grass cutting with hand, pedestrian controlled and ride on machines

* Pruning and general maintenance of hedgerows and shrub beds with hand tools and powered cutters, including soil preparation and mulching

What You’ll Need:

* Full Driving Licence

* NPTC Unit PA1 - Safe Use of Pesticides

* NPTC Unit PA6 - Use of Handheld applicator

* Lantra / NPTC Use of Rode-on Rotary Mowers

* Experience undertaking a full range of grounds maintenance activities and the use of grounds maintenance equipment

* Understanding and awareness of Health and Safety Regulations

* Ability to work co-operatively as part of a team

* Ability to follow defined processes and procedures in an accurate and consistent manner
