Senior Commercial Manager

Location: Hampshire (2–3 days per week minimum)

Salary: Circa £100,000+ plus package depending on experience

Sector: Infrastructure / Utilities / Energy

The Opportunity

A leading infrastructure and utilities contractor, backed by private investment, is continuing its rapid expansion and now looking to appoint an experienced Senior Commercial Manager to oversee a major UK framework.

With a strong pipeline of design and construction projects, this is a key strategic hire offering the opportunity to take commercial leadership on large-scale, high-value schemes and play a central role in driving business performance.

The Role

* Take commercial lead responsibility across a major multi-million-pound framework.

* Oversee full project lifecycles from feasibility and design through to construction.

* Manage month-end processes, CVRs, and financial reporting, ensuring robust commercial governance.

* Maintain strong cash flow management and forecasting discipline.

* Conduct project reviews and support strategic commercial decision-making.

* Mentor and support Commercial Managers and wider commercial teams.

* Collaborate closely with senior leadership to shape commercial strategy and best practice.

About You

* Proven background as a Senior Commercial Manager, Managing QS, or similar senior role in construction, infrastructure, or utilities.

* Strong experience with frameworks, contracts (NEC preferred), and commercial reporting.

* Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach and excellent leadership skills.

* Confident communicator with strong client-facing experience.

* Energy sector experience is beneficial but not essential — highways, rail, or other infrastructure backgrounds also considered.
