SEN Teaching Assistant (1:1 Year 6) – Haringey, London

Are you a patient, dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant ready to make a real difference in a child’s learning journey? We’re seeking an exceptional SEN Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a Year 6 pupil with ADHD at a thriving, creative primary school in Haringey.

About the Role:

You’ll provide tailored 1:1 support for a pupil following a personalised learning plan—helping them thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. The child presents no challenging behaviour and is motivated to learn in the right environment. You’ll work closely with the class teacher, SENCO and wider school team to adapt lessons, develop independence, and celebrate progress every day.

Why You’ll Love Working Here:

Nestled in one of North London’s most vibrant communities, this school is a hidden gem—an oasis of green in the city. It’s a place where creativity, curiosity and kindness flourish. The staff are a close-knit, forward-thinking team who share a strong sense of purpose and pride in their work. Every child is known, valued and inspired to exceed expectations. The school’s rich, broad curriculum ensures that every moment counts—for pupils and staff alike.

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience supporting children with SEN, ideally ADHD or similar needs.

• Confidence with the Key Stage 2 curriculum, particularly in Year 6.

• A calm, positive and encouraging approach to learning support.

• Excellent communication skills and a genuine passion for inclusion.

• Reliability, flexibility and a commitment to professional growth.

What’s on Offer:

• A welcoming, supportive staff team that values collaboration and innovation.

• Opportunities for training and professional development.

• The chance to make a lasting impact in a nurturing, happy environment.

If you’re ready to join a school that cherishes creativity, individuality and growth, we’d love to hear from you!
