An outstanding all-girls’ independent school in Ascot is seeking to appoint a passionate and knowledgeable Spanish Teacher from September 2025. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a forward-thinking Modern Languages Department in a school known for its academic rigour and nurturing environment.
The Role
You will teach Spanish across Key Stages 3 to 5, engaging pupils in the beauty and depth of the Spanish language and its diverse cultures. The successful candidate will create an inclusive, encouraging, and academically enriching classroom environment where girls are supported to become confident linguists and global citizens.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver dynamic and creative Spanish lessons from KS3 to A-Level
*
Promote cultural appreciation alongside language acquisition
*
Support pupils of varying abilities through differentiated teaching
*
Foster a classroom atmosphere of mutual respect, curiosity, and high expectations
*
Participate in wider school life including clubs, trips, and enrichment opportunities
*
Engage with parents and pastoral staff to support student development
*
Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to an innovative and inspiring curriculum
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
*
A good honours degree in Spanish or a related subject
*
A recognised teaching qualification (e.g. QTS, PGCE)
*
Experience teaching Spanish at KS3–KS5, ideally in an independent or high-achieving school
*
Native or near-native fluency in Spanish
*
A commitment to nurturing the potential of every learner
*
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
*
A genuine passion for languages and a belief in their power to broaden horizons
