Role Overview:
We are currently seeking a skilled CMM Inspector to join a global engineering company based in Crewkerne, Somerset. This is a long-term temporary position offering a competitive hourly rate and the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology in a precision-driven environment. In this role, you will be responsible for programming and operating CMM machines to ensure the dimensional accuracy of high-spec components, supporting both internal production and external suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:

Program and operate CMM machines to inspect complex components

Generate accurate dimensional inspection reports and maintain inspection records

Work closely with the Quality Manager to uphold quality standards and resolve non-conformances

Inspect parts against customer drawings, specifications, and engineering standards

Carry out calibration of measurement instruments as required

Support general quality engineering tasks, including process route card reviews and audits

What We’re Looking For:

Proven experience using CMM machines

Strong ability to read and interpret technical and engineering drawings

Experience working within AS9100 or ISO 9001 environments (preferred)

Background in aerospace, precision engineering, or a similar high-tolerance industry

A detail-oriented approach with a strong commitment to quality
