Heavy Plant & Machinery Fitters Wanted – Day & Night Shifts Available

Looking for experienced Maintenance Fitters to join a strong team working on heavy plant and machinery in a fast-paced, industrial setting. This is a hands-on role keeping vital equipment running efficiently – in a large-scale, dusty and demanding environment. If you're mechanically skilled and thrive in a place where no two days are the same, we want to hear from you.

What you’ll do:

Carry out preventative maintenance and respond quickly to breakdowns

Keep downtime to a minimum with fast, effective fixes

Spot and report issues, suggest improvements, and follow safety procedures

Complete all documentation clearly and accurately

Work closely with yard, operations and maintenance teams

Supervise contractors and support audits when required

What we’re looking for:

Proven mechanical experience in heavy industry (quarrying, aggregates, or similar)

Knowledge of gearboxes, bearings, conveyors, shredders, screeners

Practical, problem-solving mindset and good team spirit

Welding/fabrication skills a bonus

Time-served apprenticeship or equivalent preferred

Hours:

Days: Monday–Friday, Early (5:30–14:00) or Late (13:30–22:00)

Nights: Monday–Thursday 21:00–06:00, Friday 21:00–03:30
Holidays: 23 days + Bank Holidays
