We are currently looking for a Time Served Plater to join an established manufacturer based in Richmond. The role is Temporary leading to Permanent.

The Plater will work Monday - Friday 6am - 2:30pm with overtime available. The rate of pay is £17.19 per hour. The Plater will be required to complete a trade test as part of the interview process.

The Plater must have previous experience:

* Working with 5 – 100mm plate

* Heat straightening

* Understanding of engineering drawings

* Have the ability to work under own initiative as we as part of the team

* Use of overhead cranes and lifting equipment

* Use of grinders and associated consumables

* City & Guilds/NVQ in Plating in structural steel

* Working to Productivity and Accuracy targets

* Carrying out any other duties not listed above as may reasonably be required.

Skills of the Plater:

• Time served in Plating.

• Excellent understanding of plating codes and standards

• Understanding and use of overhead cranes and slinging techniques

• Working with structural steel is essential
