Position: Hygiene and Housekeeping Specialist
Location: Waltham on the Wolds, Melton
Contract Type: Temporary
Start Date: July 1, 2025
Hourly Rate: £13.65
Working Pattern: Part Time, rotating pattern of 2-3 days per week.
Driving Required: Yes, the role is not accessible via public transport so the right candidate would need to get to the remote location.

About the Role:
We are looking for a dedicated individual to join our team, focusing on cleaning within a Cat unit that upholds very stringent cleanliness standards and processes. Your role will be crucial in ensuring a sterile and organised environment that supports our life science initiatives. This unique area of working means the right person will hold a responsibility to maintain the standards expected in a Barrier unit housing our feline friends. Therefore the right person must be comfortable around Cats and the handling of them.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform thorough cleaning and sanitation of designated areas within the Cat unit.
Adhere to strict cleaning protocols and quality assurance standards.
Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are maintained and properly stored.
Collaborate with team members to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.
Report any issues or concerns regarding cleanliness to management promptly.

What We're Looking For:

Previous experience in hygiene or housekeeping, preferably in a laboratory or life science setting.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness.
Ability to follow established processes and protocols meticulously.
A proactive attitude and the ability to work independently.
Must have a valid driver's licence and reliable transportation.
