Electrical Assembler (Step-Up / Team Lead Opportunity)

Jackson Hogg is working with a well-established manufacturing business to recruit an experienced Electrical / Electro-Mechanical Assembler who is looking to take a step into a more senior position.
This is a predominantly hands-on role, with approximately 60% of your time spent in production carrying out electro-mechanical assembly, and 40% supporting the coordination of a small team. It would suit someone currently operating as a Senior Assembler, Lead Operator or informal Team Lead.
The Role
Working closely with the Production Manager, you will act as a key point of contact on shift, helping to ensure production runs safely, efficiently and in line with daily targets.

40% Team coordination and support
Key Responsibilities
*
Carrying out hands-on electro-mechanical and electrical assembly
*
Supporting and guiding a small team of assembly operators
*
Allocating daily tasks in line with production plans
*
Overseeing build quality, basic testing and visual inspection
*
Troubleshooting production issues and escalating where required
*
Promoting safe working practices and housekeeping standards
*
Supporting training and onboarding of new starters
*
Acting as a communication link between operators and management
What We’re Looking For
*
Minimum 3 years’ experience in an electrical or electro-mechanical assembly environment
*
Experience operating as a Senior Assembler, Lead Operator, Line Leader or similar
*
Confident working from engineering drawings and build instructions
*
Strong practical problem-solving ability
*
Exposure to Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement principles desirable
*
Comfortable using basic IT systems (Word, Excel, Outlook)
*
A lead-from-the-front, hands-on approach
