An established and creative secondary school in Cheltenham is looking for an ambitious Second in Department for Art to join their passionate and supportive arts team. This leadership role is ideal for a teacher with strong subject knowledge and the desire to support curriculum development and staff progression.

Your Role

Assist the Head of Art in the management and strategic development of the department

*

Deliver stimulating lessons across KS3–5, including GCSE and A-Level Art and Design courses

*

Help develop schemes of work, assessment frameworks, and enrichment activities

*

Support and mentor staff, including early career teachers and technicians

*

Organise exhibitions, competitions, and community art projects

*

Foster links with local galleries, colleges, and creative industries

Qualified Art teacher with experience teaching a range of disciplines across KS3–5
